It's time for a a Christmas lead-up! Every day from the 1st until the 25th, I'll be kitbashing up (and possibly occasionally painting?) a new member of Phoenix Company, my not-Astra-Militarum force!
Each day, I'll be including a new model, along with pictures, as well as associated posts on Twitter. Let the kitbashing begin...

I absolutely adore UFO: Aftermath, but since you never really see Council of Earth troops, it's hard to tell what they'd look like. Even still, I've started working on my own custom army - Phoenix Company, straight from UFO itself! They're based on a mixture of Astra Militarum and Spellcrow Shock Troop parts, plus whatever else is relevant at the time. So far, I've only created two (which will serve as the basis for the rest), but more are on the way every so often! They'll be painted later on, too - I want to get better and make sure that I have enough skill to accurately re-create the spec ops armour from the original game, so I'll keep putting practice in first. They still need some touch-ups, but they're looking good so far!
I've just announced my project for NanoWriMo 2020: 'The Nth Anniversary'!
In short, it's a story focused on fate, LGBT awakening and the idea that the future may or may not be set in stone for us. You can see the current progress and more details about the story here on it's NaNoWriMo page! As part of my push to take part in NaNoWriMo and finally get closer to the professional standard I've been aiming for, I finally now own a domain!
www.thomassleightholm.com is not only mine for the next two years, but secure and ready to alter and adjust in the future! Time will tell what kind of updates appear here... Anyway, welcome to a brand new Thomas (or, if you prefer, Malthus), and I hope you stick around! I'll be posting about any newly-released writing or major updates here in the near future. |
